The job itself was fun. Tending to animals and basic cleaning. The management however was not so fun. Extremely demanding and rude management who live off site and manage the camp via WhatsApp. They always watching the video camera around the site which have microphones in them and always asking us to report to them about anything the other colleagues are doing, creates a hostile environment. I was also paid less than what they had advertised in the advert.
Free accommodation in middle of nowhere onsite, it’s free but infested with cockroaches and mice.
From what we had heard from previous employees, there is a ridiculously high turnover rate, with most people only lasting 2 weeks.
Avoid!

⭐ 2 — Fair pay and treatment *:
Paid at National minimum wage, less than advertised
⭐ 2 — Job matched the promise *:
Hours were as expected working around 5 days a week, 9-5 Sunday to Thursdays, 9-9 on Fridays and 9-6:30 on Saturdays
⭐ 2 — Work-life balance *:
About an hour drive from the nearest town (Nowra), not a whole lot to do on a day off apart from go hiking or kayaking on the river
⭐ 2 — Friendly, easygoing team *:
Was only a very small team as I worked in the low season, very high turnover of staff
⭐ 2 — Quality of accommodation (if applicable):
Free accommodation in the house attached to the camp reception, lots of cockroaches around and mice too
⭐ 1 — Likelihood you’d recommend to a mate *:
Would not recommend to a friend
Overall Experience:
Requirements of the job itself were simple, feeding animals, checking in guests, turning over cabins, daily camp bin run, cleaning camp toilets and shower blocks. The location is remote, no service on site and about an hour drive to do a food shop. The management style was a big red flag. Daily reporting was via WhatsApp and often much harder than it needed to be. Wouldn’t recommend
